A Study on the Actual Condition of Health Control and the Expectstion on the Industrial Nurses¢¥ Role of Workers¢¥


Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the expectation level of workers on the industrial health nurses role and it¢¥s affecting factors.
The subjects for this study were 283 workers working in an integrated steel mill located in Pohang area from 7 to 30- October, 1987.
The collected data were analyzed by Percentile, M. and S.D., and Pearson¢¥s Correlation coefficient according to purpose of this study.
The results of the study were as follows:
1. The actual condition of health control.
1) Health condition
(1) The most available health service center was dispensary (56.5%).
(2) In the frequencies of utilization of dispensary during one year, once a 2 month (62.9%) . s the most frequent.
(3) In subjective symptoms after works, indigestion (30.7%), cold (14.5%), bronchitis (8.5%), headache
(7.4%), dermatitis (4.9%), insomnia (3.9%), hypertension (1.8%), etc.
(4) The self-consciousness of health conditions was: moderate (63.6%), good (23.7%), and bad W.7%).
2) Industrial accidents
The experience of industrial accidents was: yes (24.4%), no (75.6%).
The cause of industrial accidents was: carelessness (58.0%), set the safety standard at naught (18.8).
In the enforcement of the safety standard the case of set the safety standard at naugth (3:.8%) was the most frequent.
3) Working Condition
(1) The degree of anxiety of working condition was: anxiety (61.5%), moderate (21.9%), no anxiety (16.6%).
(2) The factors of anxiety toward working condition were: dust (42.1%), digestive trouble (214%),noise (11.4%), eyesight trouble (5.0%), psychological stress (5.0%), sleeping trouble (2.1%), dermatitis (1.4%), etc.
(3) In the turnover intension according to working condition,t aking an oppinion(50.5%) was the most frequent.
2. In the degree of expectation of workers toward the nurses role, proper nursing performance¢¥ ,4 .671) was the most high.
